Documenting user permissions

Active documentation and careful thinking are an important part of removing chaos from your work.

A great example is in keeping track of who can do what in your CRM and other tools.

Keeping an active User Permissions policy document can save you and your users a lot of headache by removing uncertainty and preventing mistakes.

Since several people have asked me for an example recently, I'm now sharing one here on my Resources page. This one is derived from a real-world organization who recently went through this process with me. It’s also annotated with instructions for re-use, so you can get started quickly.

Take a look when you get a chance.

It may just help you to save a lot of the trouble that comes with playing it by ear.

All the best,
A.
