All of Joinery’s Concierge Hosting Plans come with the following premium features.

Security updates

CiviCRM, along with Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla, release security updates a few times a year. We continually monitor your site for available updates, so your CiviCRM, Drupal, WordPress, and Joomla software always gets the latest security fixes within 48 hours of their release to the public. You'll never have to fiddle with security updates again. (BTW, if you don’t need hosting and just want help with security updates, you’ll love Joinery’s Proactive Security Updates subscription plan.)

Support

Our ticketing software is easy to use via web or email. You may never have an issue, but if you do, I guarantee a response to trouble tickets and support questions by the next business day.

Guaranteed uptime

Your hosting plan benefits from our 99.9% uptime guarantee, monitored by a trusted third-party service with publicly available status pages. Never worry about flaky site outages again.

Backups

Every day, my team performs a full backup of all databases and all website files, and we store those backups for one week on a physically separate server. This means we always have 7 complete backup copies of every site. For some plans, weekly and monthly backups are also taken, and stored for longer times (see features details for each of our Concierge Hosting Plans).

Custom backups

For clients with more backup needs, we'll configure backup creation and expiration to run on a schedule that suits you. You want twice-monthly backups that are stored for a year? Backups every third month, stored for three years? The Custom Backups option makes it possible. Nearly any backup creation and expiration schedule that you can think of, limited only by the backup storage space: 10x your hosting plan's storage limit.

Outbound email / SMTP

Although our hosting plans won't include an inbound email service (that is, receiving emails @yourdomain.org), we do have options to help you with sending outbound email.

Sending email requires a working and professionally maintained service known as SMTP. Many of our hosting clients already using a third-party SMTP service to provide this functionality, and we're happy to configure both your CMS and CiviCRM to use such a service. But if you're looking for such a service, we have options for you:

• SMTP Starter Plan: At no additional cost, we'll configure our SMTP service to send outbound emails from your site, up to a maximum of 100 per day. Included at no cost upon request.

• SMTP Growth Plan: For a small monthly fee, we'll configure our SMTP service to send outbound emails from your site, up to a maximum of 40,000 per month, with no daily limits. Additional fees apply.

• SMTP Network Plan: For a monthly fee, we'll configure our SMTP service to send outbound emails from your site, up to a maximum of 100,000 per month, with no daily limits. Additional fees apply.

You can select one of these options when you sign up for hosting, or let us know at any time that you'd like to start.

Backup restoration

Backups have no value if they can't be restored. At your request, we'll restore any backup of your choice by replacing the site files and databases with the backed up data. For all plans, the first backup restoration is included in your hosting fee. For some plans, additional restorations are also included (see features listed above).

Domain names

We can register your domain name for $15 a year. Prefer to handle that yourself? No problem! I'll give you instructions for configuring your own domain name to point to your site.

SSL certificates

A properly configured SSL certificate is a minimum requirement for any site that allows user logins or collects personal information from its visitors -- as all of our customers' sites do. Your hosting package includes setup of an industry-standard SSL certificate, so that all traffic on your site is protected from unauthorized eavesdropping of sensitive information.

File management

All accounts provide file management access through the highly secure SFTP protocol. You'll have access to upload or change files on your site as needed.

Server technology

Say goodbye to insecure and slow-running shared hosting solutions. Your server will be shared with no-one and will be running best-in-class hardware including high-speed SSD storage to deliver your content rapidly, dedicated AMD EPYC processor cores, and a network supporting up to 40Gbps of throughput with multiple levels of redundancy. This is hosting done right.

Unlimited sites, domains, and databases

Joinery's hosting solution allows you to host as many domains and sub-domains as you wish. This can be useful for creating a staged copy of your live site for testing new ideas, for directing users to special-purpose subdomains, and any number of other uses.

CiviTeacher access

I want you to get the most out of your CiviCRM system. To help ensure you're familiar with all the features CiviCRM offer's Joinery's hosting clients will receive a free 7-day trial to CiviTeacher, the video platform that organizes clear and concise tutorials into a permanent, portable and searchable CiviCRM learning library.

What's not included

To deliver the very best in hosting, we focus on all of the above features. Our hosting plans do not include the following.

Custom development

Is your site not running? That's a hosting issue, covered by our 99.9% uptime guarantee. My team is all over it, and you'll be back in business, pronto.

Do you need a service specifically mentioned in your plan? That's a hosting issue, and it's included.

Do you need someone to create a new banner image, develop a custom CiviCRM feature, fix a bug, or analyze your donor data? Provide training, strategic consultation, or project management? I’m happy to do any of that and much more, under Joinery’s pricing framework for custom development.

Email hosting

Maintaining a properly managed email server, with protections against abuse and blacklisting, and with industry-standard configurations for deliverability, spam protection, and account management, is outside the scope of our services. We'll be glad to recommend a provider where you can get all you need and more, usually at no cost even for for-profit organizations.

Control panel

As a fully managed hosting solution, Joinery's hosting plans do not anticipate your daily involvement in performing tasks normally associated with a control panel. File management can be done via secure SFTP. For any other tasks you can't accomplish yourself, I ask you to create a support ticket and I’ll be glad to help you ASAP.
