Only one of these matters

APIs help software talk to software -- for developers.

KPIs track progress toward a goal -- for managers.

ROI is just asking: Is this worth what it’s costing me?
Time. Money. Energy.

If you’re not writing code, you don’t need to obsess over APIs.
If you’re not running a tightly scoped project, you don’t need to live in KPIs.

But if you care about impact?

You’re already in ROI country -- whether you call it that or not.

All the best,
A.
