Operational Assurance
Fewer fires. More confidence in your systems.
Answers when you need them • Certainty on real bugs vs configuration issues • Security updates proactively applied
I’ll help you understand what’s going on and what to do next — so you can make the right changes with confidence.
Uncertainty and technical details can wreck your sanity.
Maybe this sounds familiar …
A feature isn’t behaving correctly, and you’d have to spend hours digging to understand why.
CiviCRM security updates are just too labor-intensive, and not a good use of your time.
Your website platform might be months behind on security fixes, but you’re not even sure — it’s just hard to keep up.
Wouldn’t you like to remove the uncertainty and focus on your real mission work?
Imagine getting to the next level …
When CiviCRM doesn’t behave as expected, you don’t have to guess. You get a quick, actionable explanation.
When a configuration change will solve the problem, get clear instructions.
When the need is more complex, you get specific options for what it would take.
Website security updates “just happen” for you — no worries.
Operational Assurance removes the mystery.
You can’t outsource the day-to-day operation of your CRM — it depends on your knowledge of your contacts and systems.
But mystery problems and security updates should not be stealing your attention from the real work of running your organization.
The Operational Assurance program takes all that off your plate and ensures you get answers when you need them, plus timely updates for security fixes.
What’s included:
Regular security updates (CiviCRM, WordPress, extensions, etc.)
Basic site security + backup checks.
Quick answers when something seems off.
Specific instructions for addressing configuration issues.
Clear expectations when something bigger is needed.
In short: Operational Assurance keeps your site humming along. When you need help with something specific, submit your question and get clear, actionable advice to resolve it.
What’s not included:
Not changing your configurations for you. You’ll learn what configurations need to be changed, and you’ll make those changes yourself — as you see fit.
Not development of custom features or software fixes; these can be proposed as specific billable projects.
Not an emergency service; responses are offered during normal business hours with normal same-day or next-day response times.
Not a plan for coaching/training sessions; I offer those services separately.
How it works:
When you reach out with a question, I take a look and get back to you with a clear explanation of what’s going on, and clear options for how you can get it resolved.
Usually it’s a matter of understanding how the system is meant to work and knowing which settings to configure.
If it’s a larger issue that needs planning, design, software development, or custom feature creation, then it probably requires a separate paid project. In that case I’ll propose some options to help you make a decision.
Pricing and limits:
Subscribe for $300 per month.
Unsubscribe when you need to, with no penalties.
Ask as many questions as you like — I’ll take a look and respond with clear guidance. When something requires more than that, I’ll recommend next steps or a small project with clear pricing.
The subscriber experience:
We weren’t receiving internal notification emails and didn’t know why.
Allen quickly identified that the issue wasn’t CiviCRM, but SendGrid suppressing that email address, and he showed us exactly how to fix it.
Once we followed his guidance, everything started working again.
What we appreciated most was the clarity — not just what was wrong, but exactly what to do next. The video explanation made it easy to fix.
This saved us a huge amount of time and gave us peace of mind knowing we have support when something goes wrong.

FAQ:
1. How will I reach you when I have questions?
You’ll have access to Joinery’s email-driven ticketing system. Just send an email with the details and your question. I’ll ask any important clarifying questions, and when I have a clear picture I’ll look into the issue and get back with you. If you need a meeting to examine the issue together or discuss strategy, you can book an ad-hoc coaching session for an additional charge.
2. Can I get more help when I need it?
If the need arises, you can still arrange for on-demand coaching sessions, month-to-month coaching programs, and custom development. Many clients find those aren’t needed on a frequent basis, so there’s no need for them in the Operational Assurance program.
3. Do you support my website platform?
WordPress, Drupal, Backdrop, Joomla — yes. CiviCRM Standalone — yes.
Drupal site owners, please note: Proactive security updates for your Drupal system won’t cover major-version upgrades such as 10.x → 11.x. Whatever major version you’re on now, we’ll handle security updates for that version as long as Drupal releases them.
4. What if I’m not happy with it?
Any time during your first month, if you’re not convinced Operational Assurance makes your life better, just let me know and I’ll refund your payment and un-subscribe you.
Any time after your first month, you can still cancel at any time, for any reason; your subscription’s still good through that monthly period, but you won’t be charged again unless you re-subscribe.
5. I still have questions …
Great! Reach out here and tell me what’s on your mind!
Ready to stop losing sleep over issues you can’t resolve?
“I really enjoyed working with Allen & Joinery. He knows CiviCRM inside and out and can get to the root of an issue very quickly. I’m glad we were able to find him to get this job done!”
